On January 12, when the Chinese New Year was approaching, Zhang Jingping, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange, Dong Changsheng, General Manager of the International Academic Exchange Service Center, and related staff, visited more than 100 international students staying on campus and Changchun during the winter holiday and Chinese New Year, and delivered the gift bags to them, hoping they could have a warm and pleasant Chinese New Year.
On behalf of NENU, Zhang Jingping firstly expressed her greetings and good wishes to the international students and their families, and especially talked about the meaning of Chinese New Year, encouraging the international students to learn more about Chinese traditional folk culture and contribute to the cultural exchange between China and abroad.
Zhang Jingping also asked international students about plans for their winter vacation, reminded them to pay attention to personal protection, and encouraged them to make full use of their holiday time and spend a safe vacation. She also expressed her gratitude to theinternational student volunteer team who have been helping the teachers and students.
The international students expressed their gratitude to NENU and teachers for the blessings they had received. Being able to experience the traditional culture of Chinese New Year is one of the meaningful activities to experience the charming and profound Chinese culture during their stay at NENU, and in the new year, they will strive to study hard, deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, and become friendly messengers of cultural exchanges.
