The Opening Ceremony 2021/2022 of the MOFCOM Degree Education Program-Master of Educational Management and Policy of NENU was held both offline and online on March 3. It was sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Northeast Normal University. Ms. Dong Piyi, director of the Division of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, Department of Commerce of Jilin Province was invited to deliver a speech at the ceremony. Ms. Zhang Jingping, director of the Division of International Cooperation and Exchange, and Mr. Liang Ronghua, vice dean of the Faculty of Education delivered a speech on behalf of the university and Faculty of Education. Besides, 18 students from Class 2021 and 21 students from Class 2022 also attended the ceremony.
On behalf of the Department of Commerce of Jilin Province, Ms. Dong congratulated the official opening of this academic degree program, which was the first offline opening ceremony held in the three years since the COVID-19 pandemic and welcomed all the students present and online who attended the opening ceremony. She expressed that students would certainly further enhance the friendship between China and many developing countries, and promote and expand the cooperation between countries in the field of education.
Ms. Zhang said that NENU has always attached great importance to China's education aid program. So far, NENU has organized more than 40 education aid programs and trained more than 1,200 senior education officials and teachers at different levels. Based on these programs, a new interactive model of talent training, school exchange, and scientific research cooperation has been formed. It can be said that the China Aid Initiative has started a new chapter of opening up to the world and pointed a new direction for educational internationalization.
Mr. Liang said that in the past two or three years, the world was deeply troubled by the COVID-19 pandemic and the students had overcome all the difficulties to complete their studies, which should also be said to be an unforgettable and very special experience. Now, you are able to travel to NENU and gradually change from a combination of online and offline learning to more efficient offline learning, and I believe you will be able to harvest more learning results.
In their speeches, Mr. Waduge Wasantha Kumara, a student representative of class 2021, and Ms. Chimbayo Hannah, a student representative of class 2022, said that after long waiting, face-to-face teaching finally came to them. They thank the Ministry of Commerce and NENU for providing the learning opportunity. They are longing for knowledge and will definitely enhance their working ability, increase their knowledge, and improve their governance ability, so as to enhance their service level, serve their motherlands, and become ambassadors of cultural exchange between countries.

Up to now, NENU has successfully conducted six degree education programs and a total of 116 students were well-trained.
