Over 20

international students of Northeast Normal University carried on a cultural

field study at Dunhua City from September 29 to October 1. Just on the occasion

of Yanbian Prefecture Cultural Tourism Festival and Dunhua Yangge Folk Culture

Tourism Festival, NENU international students participated and made a new Guinness

World Record of the Most People Doing Yangge Dance at the same time.

27 teams which adding up to 11919 persons doing Yangge

dance hit a new world record. International students drew the attention of

local citizens because of their excellent performance.

students not only appreciated the beautiful sceneries in Yanbian but also

thoroughly experienced the traditional folk culture of Northeast China——Yangge. Students said

this field study widened their horizon and they already fell in love this this

healthy and pleasant group dance. Moreover, some of them even considered

introduce this culture to their motherland.
