Registration for Self-supporting students majoring in Chinese

3. Chinese Language Level Test

Date: August 19

Place: International School of Chinese Studies

Participants:Chinese Language Students, Chinese GovernmentScholarship students with one-year language study and Confucius InstituteScholarship students.

4. NENU Orientation Lecture for All New Students

Date: 09:00 AM, August 21

Place: 3F, The Career Center of Northeast Normal University (Used to be called NENU History Museum. Behind the Administrative Building)

5. Time to start classes

Time: 08:00 AM, August 22

Place: Your own School/Faculty

6. Physical Examination/Authentication

Time: 12:00 , August 24 and August 31

Gathering place: Lobby of the New International Students’ Dormitory

Required Documents:

1) Passport,

2) A copy of passport photo page,

3) A copy of visa page,

4) A passport photo (white background),

5) Original physical examination records including X-ray (if have),

6) 400 RMB (for all items).

Note:Those who have done physical examination within 6 months need to pay 60 RMB for authentication. If you are required to do extra tests, you have to pay for them accordingly.New students need to prepare the documents by themselves. And the ISO will get the final records on your behalf.

7. Accommodation Registration

Time: August 25 to 30

Required Documents

1) Passport,

2) A copy of passport photo page,

3) A copy of visa page (with the stamp of entering China),

4) A passport photo.

Note: Students whose stamps of entering China are not at the same page with the visa need to submit an extra copy of the stamps.

8. Issuing the Documents for Residence Permit

Date: September 1 and September 8

Note: Length of the residence permit for self-supporting students is based on the invoice of tuition fees you have paid. Self-supporting students won’t be accepted without invoices.

9. Residence Permit (Visa Extension)

Time: September 2 and 9

Gathering place: Lobby of the New International Students’ Dormitory

Required Documents

1) Residence Permit Application Form,

2) Accommodation Registration Form,

3) a copy of passport photo page and visa page,

4) Official letter,

5) Physical Examination Record,

6) JW 201/ JW202 ( original form and a copy),

7) Admission Notice(original one and a copy),

8) Certificate for Institutional Legal Person,

9) Organization Code Certificate,

10) A copy of NENU Officer ID Card

11) CD,

12) 400 RMB for 1 year ,800 RMB for 2 years, 1000 RMB for 3-5 years

13) Passport

Note:

1) You should take all the documents with you as mentioned above; otherwise your case won’t be accepted.

2) Preparing a copy for every original document is necessary.

3) Students will get a receipt with equal authenticity of a passport. Usually 3 weeks later, you will get your passport back from the Immigration Office with the receipt.

Remarks

1. Students follow the schedule and procedure to complete the documents in bulk as mentioned. Those who fail to do that need to get the addresses and relevant documents from the ISO (Room 624, Administrative Building) and extend the visa by yourselves.

2. Students who terminate studying at NENU should be reported to ISO by International School of Chinese Studies in order to terminate the Residence Permit.
