national-level competition run by China Daily provides expats in China a chance

to win amazing prizes, a certificate and global recognition among China Daily

readers.

The

Opinion section of the China Daily Website, a national news portal in China,

would like to publish opinions on China-related topics or worldwide events from

experts or scholars all over the world. We are willing to compensate

contributors for their stories. Here are some potential topics:

1. ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative

2. AIIB (Asian Infrastructure Investment

Bank)

3. Bilateral relations (like Sino-US,

Sino-Japan, Sino-Africa, and Sino-Europe…)

4. Chinese Culture and daily life topics

WHO are we looking for?

We are looking for foreigners who have been closely

observing China for a period of time.

WHAT do you need to write?

We want to hear your insightful views on serious issues

like the Belt and Road Initiative, China’s development model or the bilateral

relationship between China and your motherland or research work like a brief

version of your thesis.

WHEN is the contest open?

From March 21 to April 22, 2017

WHERE will your work end up?

The best pieces will appear on China's most influential

English-language website and some of the great essays will be published in

China Daily newspaper.

subject line.

Language, format and size

All work need to be written in English and sent to us in

the form of a “word” file. Entries should be no more than 1200 words and no

less than 600 words.

Third Place: 1,000RMB (or item with equal
