In order to prepare for a safe and pleasant life, please read the following safety concerns:
为确保同学们度过平安快乐的留学生活，现将有关事项告知如下：
Knowledge of Law
法律常识
1. Foreigners who work in China illegally shall be fined not less than RMB
5,000 but not more than RMB 20,000; where circumstances are serious,
they shall be detained for not less than five days but not more than
fifteen days and shall also be fined not less than RMB 5,000 but not
more than RMB 20,000.
外国人非法就业的，处五千元以上二万元以下罚款；情节严重的，处五日以上十五日以下拘留，并处五千元以上二万元以下罚款。
2. Please check your visa/residence permit and go through visa/residence
permit extension procedures one month before your visa/ residence permit
expires. According to The Exit and Entry Administration Law of the
People’s Republic of China, student whose visa expires will be fined RMB
500 every day.
国际学生请确认本人的签证/居留许可有效期，并在签证/居留许可过期前30天开始办理相关手续。根据《中华人民共和国出境入境管理法》，签证过期需缴纳每天五百元的罚款。
3. Students are forbidden to do missionary work or hold religious assembly
within the campus. When students are conducting religious activities,
students must follow Provisions on the Administration of Religious
Activities of Aliens Within the Territory of the People's Republic of
China.
校内严禁进行传教及宗教聚会等活动。外国留学生在我国境内进行宗教活动必须遵守《中华人民共和国境内外国人宗教活动的管理规定》。
4. According to Chinese law, using drug is illegal and drug users will be
detained for 10-15 days and imposed a fine of RMB 2000 at most.
根据《治安管理处罚法》的规定，对于吸食、注射毒品的人，处10日以上15日以下居留，可以并处2000元以下罚款。
5. In China, driving a motor vehicle without a Chinse driving license or
driving an unlicensed motor vehicle will be fined raging from RMB 200 to
RMB 2000 and detained for up to 15 days.
根据《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》，未取得机动车驾驶证驾驶机动车以及驾驶无证无牌机动车的，可以处2000元以上2000元以下罚款，同时根据情况可以并处十五日一下居留。

Fire Safety
防火安全
1) Do not light fires in the rooms, not limited to but especially candles.
在寝室内不可使用蜡烛等明火。
2) Remove all chargers, and plugged in devices before leaving the room.
离开寝室前拔掉所有电源插头。
3) No smoking in the dormitory.
寝室内禁止吸烟。
4) Please obey dorm regulations. Electronic heating appliances, such as
electric heaters, electric fans and inflammable and explosive materials,
such as gas tanks, are forbidden in the dorms.
遵守公寓管理规定，注意防火安全，禁止使用电暖器、小太阳等违规电器及瓦斯罐等易燃易爆物品。
5) Cooking utensils such as induction cookers, micro-wave ovens, kerosene
stoves, and electric kettles as well as appliances like electric
blankets and hair ironsare strictly prohibited in the rooms. The kitchen
is the only place allowed to use pre-approved cooking utensils.
房间内禁止使用电磁炉、微波炉、煤油炉、电热水壶等炊具和电褥子、直板夹等违规电器。厨房是使用合格炊具的唯一场地。
6) Do not leave the appliances and cookers on in the kitchen after use.
Please pay attention to put out any flame, and turn off any electronic
devices before leaving the kitchen area.
学生在厨房用火用电时，本人必须在现场，做到人走关火、断电。
7) Please operate the electrical appliances according to the product description.
使用电器时，请按照产品说明书进行操作。
Personal Safety
人身安全
1) Whether in the room or not, please remember to lock the door.
无论外出与否，请注意锁好房门。
2) Please respect and follow the dormitory hours of operation. It is not allowed to have a guest for an overnight stay.
遵守公寓开关门时间，按时归寝，不留宿外来人员。
3) Please carry a copy of your passport and student ID with you, at all times.
请随身携带护照复印件、学生证。
4) Please obey the traffic rules.
请遵守交通规则。
5) All international students should register at ISO, if during the holiday or at anytime they plan on leaving Changchun.
出行前请到留学生办公室进行出行登记。
6) When traveling off campus, please take care of your personal
belongings. Do not put your cellphone or wallet in your jacket pocket.
在繁华街区，请看管好个人贵重物品。不要把手机钱包等物品放到外套的衣兜里。
Information safety
网络信息安全
1) If you receive a call from a stranger, please do not tell him or her
any of your personal information. Please be aware of telecommunication
fraud.
如果接到陌生人来电，请特别注意不要透露任何个人信息，谨防诈骗。
2) Never open junk emails, especially emails with website links.
请勿打开垃圾邮件，特别注意不要点击邮件中提供的网址链接。
3) Please do not post your personal information on SNS.
请不要将你的个人信息公布在你的网上账户中。
4) Please buy products from verified websites.
请在正规网站购买商品。
