Hello, everyone! I'm NAMATOVA BERMET, an international student from Kyrgyzstan.
I consider myself very lucky to have made friends from diverse cultural backgrounds during my time at Northeast Normal University. I thoroughly enjoy delving into different cultures and traditions. Today, I'd like to share a video I created to visually showcase the customs of the Chinese New Year.
Celebrating the Chinese New Year with a local family was a rare and delightful experience for me. Initially a bit nervous, I soon felt the warmth of Uncle Lin's family on New Year's Eve, which put me at ease.
One of the most captivating activities during the New Year celebration is making dumplings. The entire family comes together to prepare dumplings, engaging in lively conversations and strengthening bonds while wrapping them. It brought a sense of joy that I hadn't experienced in a long time, reminiscent of the happiness that family brings.
In summary, this was an unforgettable experience that deepened my understanding of Chinese culture. Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to the International Students Office for providing me with the opportunity to share this with you!
