2015 New Year Party for International Students

was held in the Golden Hall of the Changbai Mountain Hotel on December 19,

2015. Nearly 500 international students gathered and brought to us a party with

unique national features. Deputy secretary Party committee of NENU Wang Yan and

teachers from the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange, Preparatory

School for Chinese Students to Japan, School of Overseas Education, School of

Chinese Language and Literature, Faculty of Education, College of Chemistry,

School of Life Sciences and other Schools and Colleges attended the party. Wang

Yan gave a speech first. He gave a brief introduction to the general conditions

of international students of NENU and expressed his cordial greetings and

gratitude for faculty who work on international students teaching, relevant

functional departments, leading members of some colleges and departments,

international students and those party organizers. He wished a Happy New Year

to all international students. The party began with the wushu show given by

Lian Na (a Russian international student) and Ethnic Traditional Sports majors

from School of Physical Education, which rapidly highlighted the party’s

atmosphere. International students presented a series of dance and song shows

later. The party was characterized by different forms and colorful

performances. The harmonious themes of culture blends were vividly stressed by

the combination of exotic customs and features and Chinese traditional

cultures. The excellent performances won rolling applause from the audiences.

At the party, excellent international students with good morals and the

progress were awarded. The party came to an end with the songs and dances gala

from different ethnic groups.
