On May 14, 2017, a grand event was held on the 20th floor of International Students Dormitory -- Chinese Corner of Cheongsam Designing Contest.

First of all, the hosts introduced the Chinese cheongsam culture and the basic facts of Tang clothing. Then there was the most exciting part—Cheongsam designing competition. Nine teams showed their special prowess.

An hour later, it was time for the models. On a fifteen-meter long red carpet, there were models dressed in designed Cheongsam and others models on different style cheongsams. Students at present were amazed and cheered for their stunning dresses and professional catwalk.

This designing contest added modern element into the traditional Chinese culture, which improved international students’ understanding of Chinese culture and strengthened friendship between international students.
