Dear International Students,
According to the public security departments of Changchun and some teachers and students, some criminals defraud money and property via phone calls and texts. The typical ways of fraud are as follows: they pretend to be your leaders, friends and relatives on the excuse of job, troubles they meet with or being in urgent need of money; or they intimidate or threaten you for money through acting as gangsters; or they ask you to remit money on the excuse of winning a prize.
The criminals have changeable means of telecommunication fraud, which are tempting and deceptive. For the safety property, all students and teachers should enhance awareness of safety and prevention.
1. Don’t reveal any information about you and your family to others
2. To be calm when receiving these phone calls and texts. Check the identity and the cases carefully. Don’t transfer or remit money rashly.
3. To be sober when facing such cases. Preserve the evidence and report to the police station or NENU’S Security Office in time.
