II.Qualifications
All applicants should be Non-Chinese citizens.
An applicant applying for a master degree should be under 35 years old and have already obtained a bachelor's degree.
An applicant applying for a doctoral degree should be under 40 years old and have already obtained a master's degree.
III. Scholarship Coverage
●Students will be exempt from paying tuition and campus accommodation fees;
●Granted a monthly living allowance (Ph.D. 3,500 RMB/month, Master 3,000RMB/month)
●Comprehensive Medical Insurance Care for all CSC students
IV.Application Procedure
1. Apply at NENU International Student Service System
1)Log onto NENU International Student Service System(http://studyatnenu.nenu.edu.cn),fill in required information and submit application, download and print out the application from with duplicates. Click to viewApplication Guide.
2)Pay application fee RMB 400 online. Click to viewHow to Pay.
3)Download and print out Application Form for International Students to NENU with duplicates.
2. Apply online at the CSC website
1) Visit CSC homepage (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login) and open an account.


2)Read the Instructions carefully. The program category should be Type B, and agency number of Northeast Normal University is 10200; The Agency Number represents a specific application receiving agency and a correct choose of Program Category is necessary before filling in the Agency Number. Please make sure you fill it in correctly, otherwise you will not be able to continue your online application or may result in your application not being accepted.

3. Save and upload the required documents. Click SUBMIT to generate the application form, which should be then downloaded and printed out with duplicates.
4. Mail hard copies of the required documents to NENU.
After submit the online application, download and print out the application form. Mail two sets of hard copy of application documents (1 set of originals and 1 set of copies) to the following address:

Application Documents list:
1. Application Form for International Students to NENU (filled in Chinese or English and generated by on-line application automatically).
2.Application Form from the Chinese Government Scholarship Online Application (filled in Chinese or English and generated by on-line application automatically).
3. Photocopy of passport, including the Chinese visa pages(if available).
4. Duplicate copies of the applicant’s bachelors and higher education graduation certificate and diploma. Graduating students should provide an official enrollment certificate and impending graduation certificate. Hand in the graduation certificate once graduated. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
5.Bachelor and higher education academic transcripts (original or notarized photocopy). Transcripts in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English
6.A study or research plan. All applicants are required to submit a study or research plan. It must be in Chinese or in English and no less than 800 words.
7.Two recommendation letters signed by professors or associate professors (written in Chinese or English).
8.Photocopy of theForeigner Physical Examination Formand blood test. Bring your original documents when entering China. Incomplete forms or forms without the signature of the attending physician, or the official stamp of the hospital, or a sealed photograph of the applicant are considered as invalid. Please carefully plan your physical examination schedule as the result is valid for only 6 months.
9.Thesis:
1) Applicants for master program should provide Abstract of graduation thesis.
2) Applicants for Ph.D. program should submit your published thesis, patents, or your other research achievements during the master study and the abstract part of your Master's thesis instead of the full text.
10.A Self-introduction video in English (3-5 min, please submit with CD or USB, mail versions are not accepted).
11.TOEFL or IELTS transcripts or proof of English Language proficiency (if available)
12.Conditional Acceptance Letter from a supervising professor (Click to download)(if available)
Applicants may contact the professors directly to get a Conditional Acceptance Letter. However, it is not essential for scholarship applicants.
All documents should be bound together from top left corner in the order of Application Documents list. (You should submit TWO sets of the bound documents). Application with inaccurate or incomplete documents will not be accepted.
V.Note
1.Application documents sent by fax or email will not be accepted.
2.All of the documents (especially the Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship) should be printed.
3. Application documents and application fee will not be refunded no matter whether you are accepted or not.
4.Your documents are accepted from now toMarch 31, 2020(The dates are determined on the day it arrives).
5.Please inform us whether or not you have applied to other universities or other scholarship programs, also note whether Northeast Normal University is the first choice or not.
6.According to situations, NENU will contact the applicants to ask for supplementary documents and inform them of the final results by E-mail(iso@nenu.edu.cn), so please make sure your email and address are correct.
7.NENU will notify final result by E-mail(iso@nenu.edu.cn) before the end of July, applicants also can log on to NENU International Student Service System to check final results.
8.NENU will cooperate with schools to review students’ applications.There is no need for applicants of Independent programs to get Preliminary Admission Notice. Preliminary Admission Notice is only for departments other than universities, such as dispatching authorities in applicant’s home country, Chinese embassies and consulates.
9.Scholarship will not be reserved if scholarship winners cannot register before the registration deadline. Scholarship winners shall not invite family members without the permission from the host university.
10.All documents submitted must be true, accurate, and complete. NENU reserves the right to withdraw offers of admission or expel enrolled students otherwise.
