Those childhood memories of yesteryears are like a melodious and enchanting piece of music, capable of stirring the deepest yearnings within us even as time marches on. On March 29th, the NENU International Students Association planned and successfully held a bilingual exchange corner themed "Back to Childhood." This event attracted the enthusiastic participation of more than 120 domestic and international students, collectively creating a new cross-cultural exchange platform on campus.
Before the event officially commenced, the audience collectively enjoyed a series of children's public service short films. Not only did these films transport everyone's thoughts back to carefree childhood times, but they also set a warm and eagerly anticipated emotional tone for the event. Subsequently, Djissa Eyebe Fathy Jeanalice, a student from Gabon, guided everyone in discussing four topics related to childhood. Both domestic and international students enthusiastically shared their childhood anecdotes and precious memories, igniting sparks of multicultural exchange through those discussions.
After the ice-breaking session, participants engaged in classic childhood games such as "One two three, wooden boy", "Balance Challenge", and "Tactic understanding challenge". These games not only allowed everyone to relive the joys of childhood but also fostered understanding and friendship among each other. The "Childhood Sing-along Concert" took the atmosphere of the event to its peak, as students traveled back to those wonderful childhood moments through nursery rhymes and children's songs. Music, as a universal language, miraculously built bridges across cultures, enabling a grand childhood choir to come to life.
The bilingual corner event "Back to Childhood" not only provided a platform for domestic and international students to communicate but also served as an experience transcending language and culture. By sharing their stories and experiences, everyone collectively reminisced about those unforgettable childhood moments, effectively enhancing the cross-cultural communication skills of both domestic and international students. We eagerly look forward to the next exciting event!
