VII. Student’s Feedback

TAYYAB MUHAMMAD •Pakistani• Ph.D. Student of 2021199D7

Hey, I am Tayyab Muhammad from Pakistan. I have done my Master's degree in Environmental Science with a research direction of Disaster Risk and Disaster Resilience. I am currently enrolled as a Ph.D. student in the same school.

Let me talk about the school where I spent the best 3 years of my life during my master's study.

The School of Environment of Northeast Normal University is one of the best institutions of NENU which was established in 1986 having three departments such as the Department of Environmental Science, the Department of Ecology, and the Department of Environmental Engineering, including three majors: Environmental Science, Ecology, and Environmental Engineering. It has a number of national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research platforms, such as the Institute of Natural Disasters, the National Key Laboratory of Environmental Protection Wetland Ecology and Vegetation Restoration, the Key Laboratory of Vegetation Ecology Science of the Ministry of Education, the Key Laboratory of Animal Resources Protection and Utilization in Jilin Province, and the Jilin Province Ecological Security Early Warning Center. I found an advanced research culture with great supervision boosted my knowledge and research skills which is an absolute leverage for my long-term goals.

Moreover, the lovely people here, the caring staff, and the inspiring fellows make NENU a very special place to study and all the hard work worthwhile.

To sum up, As an International student I would say that, I didn't know what to expect, but I am pleased with what the School of Environment and NENU itself turned out to be. Both socially and academically, there is not a thing that has disappointed me here, and I have received all the support I asked for.

Thank you!
